Power Pressure Cooker XL Reviews Italian Recipes You’ll Love!

What do most signature Italian dishes have in common? The answer is cheese, of course. Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan, Ramon; they’re all delicious! Cheese is so important to Italian cuisine that Italian cheese even has its own month of recognition.

September marks National Italian Cheese Month, and to celebrate, Power Pressure Cooker XL reviews some Italian pressure cooker recipes that include cheese. We know you’ll  love these!

Penne in Meat Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 pounds dry penne
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 10 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 5 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 ounces olive oil

Directions:

  • Place the inner pot into the Pressure Cooker. Press the “RICE/RISOTTO” button. Set time to 8 minutes.
  • Heat the oil and cook the beef until browned, add the onion and garlic; drain away excess fat.
  • Place the sauce and the water in the inner pot.
  • Add the penne, salt and pepper mix well with a large spatula.
  • Place the lid on the Pressure Cooker, lock the lid and switch the pressure release valve to “Closed.”
  • Once the timer reaches zero, the cooker will automatically switch to “KEEP WARM.” Press the “CANCEL” button. When the steam is completely released, remove the lid.
  • Add ricotta, and mozzarella. Mix gently with large spatula and serve (serves four people).

Mini Rigatoni Bolognese

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, peeled, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and finely chopped
  • 75 cup beef broth
  • A pinch cayenne pepper
  • 6 tablespoons finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 1 pound mini rigatoni pasta
  • Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 16 ounces tomato puree

Directions:

  • Place the inner pot in the Power Cooker. Place the oil in the inner pot. Press the “RICE/RISOTTO” button. Place the beef in the pot. Stirring occasionally while cooking.
  • After 5 minutes, add the onion, garlic, carrots and cook until the time is up.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except the Parmigiano.
  • Place the lid on the Power Cooker, lock the lid and switch the pressure release valve to “Closed.”
  • Press the “WARM/CANCEL” button.
  • Press the “BEANS/LENTILS” button.
  • Once the timer reaches zero, the cooker will automatically switch to “KEEP WARM.” Switch the pressure release valve to “Open.” When the steam is completely released, remove the lid.
  • Serve with Parmigiano-Reggiano (serves four people).

Italian Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pasta shells, small
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 ounce parmesan cheese, shredded

Directions:

  • Place the inner pot into the Power Pressure Cooker. Press the “RICE” button. Cook for 6 minutes.
  • Add in the pasta, water, sauce, salt and pepper. Mix.
  • Place the lid on the Pressure Cooker and lock. Switch the Pressure Release Valve to “Closed.”
  • Once the timer reaches zero, the Cooker will automatically switch to “KEEP WARM.” Press the “CANCEL” button. Switch the Pressure Release Valve to “Open.” When the steam is released completely, remove the lid.
  • Fold in the cheese in this order; Ricotta, Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan
  • Serve (serves four people).
